COLORFUL  TOUR IN KYRGYZSTAN:

ITINERARY:           BISHKEK – CHOLPON ATA –JYRGALAN – ALTYN ARASHAN – KARAKOL – BOKONBAEVA – KILEMCHE – SON-KUL LAKE -BISHKEK

Day1 Bishkek-Burana-Cholpon Ata

In the morning I will pic you up from hotel at 8.30. than Departure to the Cholpon Ata town, which is a with fascinating beautiful beaches. On the way, visit the to Burana Tower ancient minaret located near the town of Tokmok. This minaret was built for the residents of the city Balasagun, one of the three capitals of Karakhanids. We can see the ruins of the city that flourished during the Great Silk Road, visit the local Museum with exhibits of finds during the excavations, and tells about this ancient settlement. And also take a look at the collection of Balbals, Turkic tombstones stone sculptures.

After we we keep our way to the Colpon Ata town.

Arrival in the town of Colpon Ata and accommodation in guest house and Visit the open-air Petroglyphs Museum (stone inscriptions) and the Ruh-Ordo Cultural Complex in the city of Cholpon-Ata.

Day2 Cholpon Ata-Jyrgalan valley

Today, after breakfast, we will go to the village of Jergalan, where we will stay overnight in a guest house. On this day, we will arrange a horseback ride in the vicinity of a beautiful mountain valley. You can enjoy the tranquility of this high altitude place. On horseback we will go to the Kok-Bel waterfall and to the lake Turnaly kol. On the way to the waterfall, you will have a breathtaking view of the Jergalan valley. In the evening we will return to the guest house with a natural hot pool open air and a delicious dinner

Day3 Jyrgalan Ata-Altyn -Arashan

After breakfast we drive toward to the picturesque gorge Altyn-Arashan valley famous for coniferous forests, flower meadows and interesting hiking trails. today on the way we will stop in Karakol here we will change our car for a Soviet SUV, because the road to Altyn Arashan is along a stone road (14 km one way.Usually in this time an avalanche comes down, in case you need to walk 2 km on foot, the journey takes 1.5 hours)

 

 

“Altyn-Arashan” in Kyrgyz means “golden hot springs”. The valley is famous for its healing radon sources. Overnight on a picturesque green pasture. Free time, during which you can swim in hot radon water and experience its healing properties. Dinner and night in guest house.

Day4 Altyn -Arashan –Karakol

Today after breakfast we will drive back to the city of Karakol. In the afternoon, a sightseeing tour of the old wooden Russian church (built without nails), the Dungan Mosque (Dungan is an ethnic minority of Chinese Muslims who moved from Western China) and Kupechesky Proezd Street, which resembles an old Russian village of the 19th century. In addition, a visit to a local store selling hand-made souvenirs made by local women. Аlso in the evening, if desired, we can have another hot spring which is located in several pools with different temperatures in the Ak-Suu gorge.

Day5 Karakol -Bokonbaeva

After breakfast, We move from Karakol to Djety-Oguz valley with main attractions colorful mountains such as Broken Heart and Seven Bulls. After we continue   our way toward to Bkonbaeva villagge across the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Visit the Canyon “Fairy Tale”. The canyon was named after its eccentric rocky landscape, which over the years has been transformed by the wind into various sculptures. After discovering this stunning place, you meet a berkutchy, a kyrgyz eagle hunter, who will show you how does he train his golden eagle for hunting, and tell you about his passion for this majestic bird. Day6 Bokonbaeva-Kilemche valley

Today, after breakfast, we will go to the Kilemche valley, where we will stop for the night at the shepherds, where you can chat with local shepherds and enjoy the tranquility of this mountainous place. Walk around the beautiful mountain valley. You can enjoy the tranquility of this high on the hills of the Kilemche Jailoo. The name means “like a carpet,” and this swathe of grass covers whole mountain ranges, with shadings as subtle as any shyrdak (shyrdak is a Kyrgyz felt carpet). Dine and sleep in a yurt, naturally by the Tuz-Ashuu pass.

On the way we will visit the Kyrgyz craft yurt maker and felt maker they will show us how all these miracles are created processes.

Day7 Kilemche valley – Son-kul lake

After breakfast at Kilemche, spend the morning climbing to Tuz-Ashuu pass (3400 m), over the Song-Kol Mountains and into the lake’s basin. The morning climb affords wonderful views of Kilemche jailoo, and the pass itself is rocky and exciting. From the pass, Song-Kol is still distant, but as you traipse down the slopes, it gets larger and larger; the mountains on the other side get higher and higher, until finally the lake fills most of your field of view and the southern mountains tower above it. Horse riding along the lake on the hill with amazing view, on the way we will have lunch at shepherdsyurt.  after lunch follow the lakeshore west to the Silk Roade yurt camp. Upon arrival meet your host family of Kyrgyz shepherds. Meals and overnight are in a yurt of shepherds.

Horse time: 4 hours.

Day8 Son-kul lake-Bishkek

after breakfast we will drive back to Kilemche Valley, we will change our horse for a car and then we will continue our way to Bishkek city
