ITINERARY:             BISHKEK – CHOLPON ATA – JETI OGUZ – KOCHKOR – SON-KUL LAKE –KEl-SUU LAKE – TASH RABAT – CATYR-KUL LAKE – KAZARMAN – OSH –ARSLANBOB – TOKTOGUL – BISHKEK

Day 1.  Bishkek-Cholpon Ata

In the morning, transfer to Issyk-Kul along the northern coast (260 km). On the way, stop at the Burana tower – a minaret preserved from the time of the ancient city of Balasagyn (XI-XIII centuries). The next stop is a tour of the Cholpon-Ata open-air museum of petroglyphs, where there is a collection of ancient drawings on stones dating back to the 5th century BC. NS. – VIII century A.D. You can also visit the local history museum in Cholpon-Ata.

Dinner and overnight at a hotel on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul.

Day 2.  Cholpon Ata – Jeti Oguz

After breakfast transfer to Karakol. On arrival city tour. Visit to the Russian Orthodox Church and the Dungan Mosque, built without a single nail. We will also dine here with local delicious food. after lunch we drive to Jety-Oguz (Seven Bulls) (175 km), famous for coniferous forests, flower meadows and interesting hiking trails, and on this day we will take a walk to the waterfall

Day 3. Jeti Oguz – canyon Fairy Tale-Kochkor village

After breakfast, drive toward to Kochkor villagge across the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Visit the Canyon “Fairy Tale”. The canyon was named after its eccentric rocky landscape, which over the years has been transformed by the wind into various sculptures. After discovering this stunning place, you meet a berkutchy, a kyrgyz eagle hunter, who will show you how does he train his golden eagle for hunting, and tell you about his passion for this majestic bird. Also we will  visit to the yurt maker he will tell us about his workshop

Day 4. Kochkor – Son Kul

In the morning, transfer to the unique Son-Kul Lake (3016 meters above sea level). There is a colorful yurt camp in this amazing place. You will be offered to taste kumis – a national drink made from a mixture of mare’s milk and bread. In addition, you will taste other dairy products and preserves.

Dinner and overnight in yurts.

 Day5 from Son Kul lake to Kel-Suu lake

 

Breakfast. Departure to the picturesque alpine lake Kol-Suu in the south-east of Kyrgyzstan, near the border with China. It is located at an altitude of 3400 m above sea level in the spurs of the Kokshaal-Too ridge (Kok-Kyya valley, Ak-Sai river basin). On all sides, Kol-Suu is surrounded by steep rocks with many caves, depressions and grottoes; there are also small stone islands in the lake itself. To fully enjoy the beautiful views of the lake, it is recommended to take a boat trip. Lunch on the way in nature. as well as horse riding. Dinner by the lake. Overnight in tents.

 Day6. from Kel-Suu lake to Tash Rabat

 

After breakfast, the road to Tash-Rabat is a historical monument founded by monks in the 10th century. During the heyday of the Great Silk Road, Tash-Rabat lost its cult significance of the monastery and served as a hotel, i.e. – a caravanserai. Surrounded by mountain ranges. On the way, a picnic in nature. the view of the Chatyr-Kul lake which is the third largest in Kyrgyzstan.

Dinner: national cuisine and overnight in national yurts.

 Day7. from Son Kul to Tash-Rabat

 

Transfer to Tash-Rabat. Lunch on the way in Naryn. Next move to Tash-Rabat – Caravan Saray, dates from the XV century. The stone structure served as a refuge for strangers from the weather and brigands, who were abound on the Great Silk Road.

 

Overnight in the yurt.

 Day8: Tash-Rabat-Kazarman

This day will be long, but very rewarding. The landscape is absolutely wild and unspoiled. Most parts of the roads were constructed during the Soviet times. Visitors will pass from the Northern to the Southern part of the country. Kazarman is a small rustic village. Visitors will stay at a family run guesthouse there.

 Day9. Kazarman-Osh

Visitors will go to the second capital of Kyrgyzstan –Osh city.  Along the way, there will be a stop in the Uzgen city which is famous for producing special type of rice. Later, we offer to visit the rice market and historical minaret. Visitors can also try the Uzgen pilaf (dish cooked from meat and rice) from a local café for lunch. Arrival to Osh, accommodation at a home stay. Free time in the evening.

19/08 Day10: Osh

Full-day sightseeing  trip around the Osh. Half-day trip to colorful Osh Bazaar (market), then walk through the Alisher Navoi Park and  watching as elderly people drink tea and play chess.
In the afternoon, climb to the Holy Suleiman Mountain and visit its cave museum, Silk Road Museum and Alymbek Datka Complex. Dinner at a local Uzbek family’s house with Uzbek food specialties.

 Day11: Osh-Arslanbob (215km 4h)

 

Depart to Arslanbob, which is a popular place for its well-known walnut forest.  Along the way, stop in Uzgen city to visit the Historical Uzgen Minaret and Mausoleum. Upon arrival to Arslanbob, accommodation at a local family-run guesthouse with basic conditions. Afternoon  trip to the walnut forest and waterfall.

 Day12: Arslanbob-Toktogul (400km 5h)

Along the way to Toktogul pass through the Tash-Komur Hydro-Electric Station and the Toktogul reservoir. In Toktogul accommodation at a friendly family-run guesthouse is provided.

 Day13: Toktogul-Bishkek (296km 5h)

The road to Bishkek is one of the most picturesque ones. It goes along the Chu River and depicts the different sceneries: from snowy capped mountains to beautiful gorges and flat valleys. The highest altitude is at the Suusamyr Valley (3586 m above the sea level) where nomads herd their livestock. Lunch at a roadside café (fried fresh fish is available). In Bishkek accommodation at boutique hotel ideal for family stays is provided.
Free time in the evening.

Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
